Lipgloss with No Color – Philosophy Melting Marshmallow Cream

How do you spend your time after work?

Everyday after work I usually find myself doing something different; I can never seem to get into the grove of a routine schedule as much as I would love to. Towards the beginning of the week I tend to be way more productive. Monday I am either running to get a mani/pedi, home working on my blog (more work, but doesn’t feel like it) or off to the gym telling myself I should go way more often.  Then when Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday hit I tend to go out for drinks and dinner with friends. Favorite Places: Hurricane Club to Riff Raffs on Tuesday and MDP in meatpacking on Wednesday.

What is one thing you couldn’t do without at work?

Although I work with amazing people, I would say the one thing I can not live without at work is email access. I live off emails estimating I receive around 400 a day!!!

What do you hope to see in the future of your career?

I would love for people to create more personal digital portfolios - for example a lot of my personal work can be seen in my blog. I have full control over how it looks, runs and what is written on it but I have fun doing it and learn a lot that is usefully in the business world.

Have any funny/embarrassing/memorable experience present or past?

Some of my most memorable experiences are all related to working for IMG Fashion and being apart of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.  There are always so many celebrities, amazing fashion shows, drinks, models … but I will never forget one season being backstage in one of the lounges before a Monarchy Collection show.  I was just quietly standing to the side talking to a few of people when one of the gorgeous male models turned to me and said “Do you know what today is?” … dazzed, tired and hot mess from working the long days I look to check my show schedule and replied with “February 14th”.  He then smiled and asked “Will you be my Valentine?” I nearly fell over and died, but needless to say it sure made my day!

Who/what do you believe got you where you are today?

I would definitely have to say my imagination has gotten me where I am today.  Not saying that I am a creative artist, but I was always able to picture how I want my life to be and what I wanted to do.  Once you can imagine that everything else falls right into place.

Favorite fashion blogs/websites/magazines/books:

One of my favorite fashion website, that I feel underrated is www.fashionweekdaily.com many people refer to it as the fashion week magazine but it has great fashion content and news year round. Other sites that I love to look at for the purely pictures and ideas are usually from tumblr.  If you can find one great one that you like, other similar ones will be linked to on the page. My most recent favorite is www.to-young.tumblr.com the pictures a breath taking.

Can’t live without:

My watch! Favorite one I have is my Michael Kors all gold fashion watch, but I have a few more high end ones on my motivational wish list.

Summer must have:

For those living in NYC and have a strong love for fashion, towards the beginning of summer marks the start of a long calendar list of designer sample sales – keep your eyes open and look for “sample sale” trends on twitter. You might get lucky with some great discounts, I know I did with Christian Louboutin.

Champagne Summer Facial

Ahh, summertime. I have a love/hate relationship with you. I am presently in Florida soaking up some much-needed sun, which is a good thing considering kids use to call me "Casper" and "Powder."
However, I find myself so disgustingly hot that I feel as though I need to cleanse my face every fifteen minutes. Well, the beauty gods must have heard my prayers (er, complaining) because the other night the news reported the benefits of substituting Champagne as toner!
I had to investigate further, and this is what I found:

"It can be good for skin since it detoxifies your skin and it also fights off free radicals. Some people think that using champagne for your skin is a bad thing, but truth be told, it contains less alcohol than the toners you can find your nearest convenience store. When using the champagne as toner, the bubbles (carbon dioxide) will help to constrict the pores, which helps to make the skin more firm and provides a glow..."

It's as simple as pouring it on a cotton ball and dabbing it on your face for a quick fix!

You can find me walking on the beach with a bottle at my side...

Fashion Stylist/Stylist Assistant. http://sheadaspin.com
Current Undergrad at The New School

How do you jump start your morning?
Ideally a run along the East River followed by a shower and coffee, but that's only if I can get myself to bed at a reasonable hour. Otherwise it's just coffee and rushing out the door.

Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Other?
Dunkin when I make it, Starbucks when I'm in a pinch.
My favorite, though, is this iced hazelnut coffee from my bodega.

Favorite lip candy?
YSL #19 and #49. MAC "Ruby Woo"

How do you spend your time after work?
I'll usually go out to dinner and a concert or movie or something. My favorite places to see music are Mercury Lounge, Pianos, and Glasslands. Favorite place to eat/drink is Benny's Burritos, definitely.

What is one thing you couldn’t do without at work?
Coffee and a good playlist.

Describe a typical day for you.
Well I try to keep the days I'm in class and the days I'm working separate from each other, but often I find myself waking up early, emailing, going to class, emailing some more between classes, and so on. Besides that there is a lot of steaming clothing and keeping things organized.

What do you hope to see in the future of your career?
$$$  and cool clients.

Have any funny/embarrassing/memorable work experiences?
I was interning for this one stylist for a while who assisted a bunch of other bigger stylists. One time she forgot a really important  D&G shirt back at her apartment in Brooklyn so I had to go back and get it for her. The thing was, her doors were locked all weird so I couldn't get in. I eventually got her neighbors to help me break into her apartment with a ladder up to the back window that led to her kitchen. I crawled through and retrieved the shirt.

Previous internships:
Teen Vogue, Interview, Press Office PR, Industry PR, Opening Ceremony, Various Stylists

Who/what do you believe got you where you are today?
Probably just a combination of my parents paying for me to come out here to study/live, hard work, and good timing.

Magazines: Vice, V, Pop, Purple
Websites: XOJane.com, Jezebel
